IRIS is intended for creation of management system that contributes to continuous improvements and gives importance to defects prevention and reduction in supply chain. So far, Transmashholding entities, such as Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant, Tver Carriage Works, Tsentrosvarmash and KMT have already been certified for IRIS, and in the closest time Bryansk Engineering will join this list, as upon audit completion, the site got recommendations for certification. Audit result totals 59%. In auditor’s opinion, this is a fairly good percent for certification audit, especially for such a huge site as BMZ.

“Production optimization at this site makes a strong impression. This is the best we’ve seen recently. We see how many efforts are made and are quite confident that they have already brought results,” one of auditors said.

The auditors concluded that strengths of the site are made up of up-to-date high-performance equipment; top management commitment for business management system; lean production, 5S, productivity gains, depth-in knowledge of quality management system and dedication of personnel, which deploys the system, use of 1C Repair-Expert System for infrastructure control; as well as high level of project management.

A good result of the certification audit is an output of serious team work within a year and a half,” Andrey Zhzhonikov, Quality Director of CJSC MC BMZ, stated.

Nowadays, thanks to high quality assurance and maintenance, Bryansk Engineering Plant may look to permanent orders and be a decent competitor for world players.
