New cars produced by Mertrvagonmash put into operation at Line 7 in the Moscow Metro
An official ceremony took place in Vykhino depot; it was dedicated to putting into operation of the first Class 81-760/761 ‘Oka’ new-generation metro train at Line 7 (Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya) in Moscow metro system. The rolling stock is manufactured by Metrovagonmash.
It is expected that as early as in January, five Class 81-760/761 trains will run at Line 7; by the end of 2017, Metrovagonmash is to replace 248 metro cars assigned to Vykhino depot. The rolling stock will be supplied under the life-cycles contract, pursuant to which Metrovagonmash will be responsible for timely maintenance of all Class 81-760/761 cars of Vykhino depot. Class 81-760/761 cars are operated by the Moscow Metro since 2012. To design them, the most advanced global technical solutions were applied. The air disinfection system was firstly used in the new car design.
The Class 81-760/761 cars are further equipped with HVAC system in the passenger saloon, video surveillance system capable of transmitting images to the situation center. Particular attention is paid to fire and electric safety, environmental friendliness and comfort of the rolling stock. Class 81-760/761 cars are fitted with the present-day asynchronous traction drive, microprocessor-based control systems, bogies of new design ensuring smooth and quit train move. The car bodies are made of stainless steel.
