DP-M DMU of Metrovagonmash production starts operation on the Moscow

On March 15, a commissioning ceremony of the advanced Class DP-M DMU took place at Golutvin station in presence of Mr. Mikhail Oleynik, Minister of Transport of the Moscow Region. The train was manufactured by Metrovagonmash factory.

The new DMU starts its operation on the line Golutvin - Ozyory.

DP-M was delivered to Central Suburban Passenger Company in December, 2015.

DP-M is the first Russian DMU with the power unit located not under the frame but in a separate dedicated traction module with a pass-through. This module was developed by Stadler (Switzerland). Due to this new equipment layout, vibration and noise level in passenger saloons is reduced.

Special attention was paid to the provision of comfortable traveling conditions for handicapped passengers – each head-car offers space for passengers in wheelchairs, devices are provided to facilitate getting on/off for them. There are WC modules in the head cars, which are also designed with due consideration of the needs of passengers with limited mobility.

CCTV system monitors the situation inside the cars. The passenger saloons are fitted with an advanced V&A information system. The driver’s cabs and passenger saloons are equipped with HVAC system to provide for air heating, cooling and ventilation.

Pursuant to the signed contract, the manufacturer undertakes to perform scheduled maintenance of DMU during 30 years from its commissioning date. The after-sales service of the factory will provide for appropriate maintenance (scheduled maintenance of TO-3 scope, visual inspection and replacement of consumables as needed), scheduled maintenance of scope TR-1 and TR-2 (minor repairs in cooperation with the operating maintenance depot). In addition, Metrovagonmash staff will perform maintenance works on the power supply module, and when the run targets are achieved - the overhaul of DMU (scopes KR-1 and KR-2).
