TMH ships 20 coaches to Belarus

Tver Carriage Works (part of Transmashholding) manufactured and shipped 20 new sleeper coaches for Belarusian Railway.

The contract of sale and delivery was signed by Tver Carriage Works and BelVEBleasing. All ordered products are open-space sleeper coaches, model 61-4447, designed for speeds up to 160 kmh.

They feature air conditioning, air and water purification, video surveillance, eco-friendly lavatories, and fire alarms. Each coach has 54 beds with individual power outlets and USB chargers for passengers’ convenience.

An important advantage of the new coaches is the updated management panel that integrates onboard control and diagnostic tools in one convenient place.

Since 1998, as part of the program to renew Belarusian Railway’s train fleet, Tver Carriage Works has shipped over 90 coaches and 57 car sets for assembly at Minsk Coach Repair Factory.
