TMH Delivered its First 2TE25KM Diesel Locomotive to BaltTransServis

The first of ten 2TE25KM mainline freight diesel locomotives, manufactured at Bryansk TMH Plant, was shipped to BaltTransServis – one of the biggest private operators specializing in transportation of oil in Russia and CIS countries (part of Globaltrans group).

The customer contracted TMH to produce and ship ten 2TE25KM diesel locomotives in 2019. The machines will be delivered to Velikie Luki, where one of the customer's regional offices is located.

2TE25KM is a mainline freight two-section diesel locomotive with AC/DC transmission. Such locomotives are common throughout the Russian Railroads’ network, and, due to their beneficial technical and economic performance, are also in demand among Russian and foreign industrial companies conducting cargo operations. As such, 2ТE25КМ are used by SUEK to transport coal at Tugnuy coal pit in Buryatia and Shubarkol Komir at the Shubarkol coal pit in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Among the key advantages of 2ТE25КМ is a microprocessor control system, which allows for maximum traction effort for this type of vehicle. SUEK’s experience shows that with these machines the weight of operable trains has grown up by 30% due to the increased engine efficiency and higher coupled weight.

2TE25KM are highly maintainable due to affordability and availability of main components while locomotive crews enjoy some advanced comfort features.

TMH is the only Russian manufacturer to produce the entire range of tractive rolling stock, electric and diesel locomotives of varying output, composition, voltage, and application.
