TMH shipped three rail buses to Sakhalin Oblast

The formal shipping of three Class RA-3 rail buses took place at TMH Mytishi Plant. The citizen of Sakhalin Oblast will become the passengers of these new vehicles.

Among the participants of the ceremony were Deputy Chairman of Sakhalin Government VItaly Gudin, Deputy Managing General of Russian Railways Dmitry Pegov, Deputy CEO of TMH for Passenger Transport Development Alexandr Loshmanov, First Deputy CEO of Sakhalin Passenger Company Michael Malyugin, CEO of TMH Mytishi Plant Boris Bogatyrev, and Deputy Head of Automotive Industry and Railway Machinery Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Lvov.

RA-3 is the newest product from TMH. On July 22, 2019 it received a certificate of conformity to passenger transportation safety requirements and regulations.

Compared to previous models, RA-3 can develop higher speed and feature more passenger seats, and better accessibility options. The new interior consists of contemporary fire-retardant and easy to clean materials; interior lighting is made of energy-saving LEDs, both the crew cabin and the passenger compartment feature CCTV, air conditioning and disinfection systems, as well as information panels.

Boris Bogatyrev, CEO of TMH Mytishi Plant: “This is a great day, a day when we ship these first rail buses. Tomorrow, these three magnificent machines will be moving through our entire country to Sakhalin, to their place of operation. This project became a reality in a record-breaking time; it took only 8 months for our Mytichi Plant to design, manufacture, and certify RA-3 rail buses. We can be proud of our product”.
