TMH Presented its Rail Vehicles in Kazakhstan

On the premises of “Tulpar” coach manufacturing plant in the capital city of Kazakhstan – Nur-Sultan, JSC “Transmashholding” (TMH) presented its passenger rail lineup to the top-management and tech experts of the national railway operator JSC "NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" (KTZ).

The chairperson of the board of KTZ Sauat Mynbaev and the CEO of TMH Kirill Lipa participated in the event.

The lineup consisted of modern single-deck and double-deck passenger coaches, including the ones assembled as a factory couple, a baggage-and-mail coach, an escort coach, an urban electric passenger train “Ivolga”, a rail bus RA-3, and a shunting locomotive TEM28.

The presented rolling stock corresponds with the modern outlook on transport engineering. Some leading technology, materials, user experience solutions, and safety features have found their place in these vehicles.

The rolling stock was evaluated by representatives of the Committee of Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KTM MIIR RK), JSC “Passenger Transportation” (a subsidiary of KTZ), and private operators and service providers.

Satjan Uzbekov, chief expert of the Committee of Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Republic of Kazakhstan: “There is so much here for convenience, comfort, and safety of passengers: power outlets, safes, key cards, video surveillance, a creative playground for kids in the double-decker; all this represents the right way to serve the passengers, the communities”.

TMH, KTZ, and other companies of Kazakhstan remain partners for many years. At various times, TMH shipped to Kazakhstan mainline and shunting diesel locomotives, AC electric trains, and passenger coaches. TMH holds shares of two Kazakh manufacturing plants – electric locomotive manufacturer “EKZ” and diesel locomotive manufacturer “LKZ”. The products of these plants serve the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
